What is a seance?
For those who may not be familiar with the term, a seance is an event where sitters attempt to contact the ghost or ghosts of the departed. A seance is usually headed up by a paranormalist or medium, often in a building thought to be haunted by ghost or ghosts. It is often thought the ghost or ghosts that haunt the building manifest themselves in the seance due to some kind of anger or unfulfilled wishes or desires they had when in human form. Psychic detectives or psychic investigators are often called in to witness such seances for their opinion or suggestions.
Headed up by Dick Brooks and Dorothy Dietrich Haunted! Mind Mysteries & THE Beyond! is America's number one seance event. The Pennsylvania Department of Tourism picked this location at 1433 N.Main Avenue in Scranton in the Pocono Mountain region as "one of the most haunted places in Pennsylvania!
